Most CPD programmes are designed for the institution, not the teacher. They tick a box on an audit form. They produce a certificate. They rarely change what happens in a classroom on a Wednesday afternoon in October.
The CPD that works begins with a different question: what is the teacher actually trying to get better at right now? Start there. Build slowly. Trust that confidence precedes publication — that teachers need to feel safe trying something before they are asked to evidence it.
